Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi Friends! Welcome to the latest Craft-a-Flower from Altenew! You may have come from the blog of Justine Hovey, but if not feel free to start at the beginning with the Altenew Card Blog.
This Craft-a-Flower Daisy set of dies contains all the pieces to make two different layered daisies and two different layered leaves.
And here are the two cards I made with these dies!
This card uses the gorgeous Summer Afternoon cardstock set exclusively. The beautiful yellows make up the flower, where the tans and rust make up the leaves.

The Hello Sentiment Die is layered on top of yellow fun foam to stand out a little more. Here you can also seen where I added some dots to the flower centers with a marker.
Note the background panel is made from one pass of the Dotted Starburst Debosing panel. What a way to spice up a white background! Especially when you have so many other layers and colors in the focal point.

I thought about offsetting the floral layers to make the flowers seem full, but with the busier embossed background I wanted to keep things looking as clean as possible.
This card uses both floral diecuts, which is the same for my next card ...
The main flower is front and center. I cut the sides off the second flower and scattered them along the edges to make it look like a pattern..
For these floral beauties I used the Shades of Purple Cardstock and continued using the paper pack for the leaves. I thought the purple flowers on the gray base would be perfect for a sympathy card. It's not too cheery, and at the same time, especially with these colors, not too dreary.
I always love embossing sentiments on vellum, especially for sentiments with a particularly thin line, like this one. The "hugs" was clipped out of the Circle Greetings Hugs die set.

These layered daisies are so fun to play with, and it never ceases to amaze me how little effort you need to put in before coming up with designer-looking results. The dies do all the work for you!
