Free Shipping from Colorado Craft Company, Including Big & Bold Mice!

Hi Friends! I love shaped cards because they are so unique, and not something you can easily find in the stores. The Colorado Craft Company Big & Bold series mice are perfect for creating shaped cards because of their large size.

So awesome that the inside of the shaped card is the right size for the "Reach for the Stars" sentiment. Adore! This mouse and sentiment is from the Falling Star set.

To make a shaped card you just place the die slightly above the fold line of your card. For this card the ends of the mouse's hands were slightly higher than the fold. Then I cut another mouse image and adhered that on top.

Before adding the stars, my poor little mouse wanted to tip over to the right, since only his left foot is on the ground. But once I added the star to his tail, and a few more stars to the left of the large star, he found his balance and can stand unassisted : )

If you've been thinking about picking up one of the sets of big Anita Jeram mice, there's free shipping on October 22nd- and 23rd! Just use the code FREESHIPPINGKG

Have a wonderful weekend!

Colorado Craft Company - Big and Bold Anita Jeram!

Hello Friends! I'm so happy to be participating in the one year anniversary of the most adorable critters drawn by the famous illustrator Anita Jeram for Colorado Craft Company!

For this special occasion, the Anita Jeram mice are going BIG and BOLD ... yep, they are now super-sized like the other images in this line. This means you can have them be the "star" of the show on an A2 sized card, or use them for gifts, like this adorable banner.

Nothing fancy to add them to the baker's twine, I just used tape on the back to hold them in place.

The sentiments are embossed in gold on vellum and cut into two separate banners. I also added a few of the tiny star die cuts to the vellum strips. They are held in place with a mini staple attacher.

Here's a look at the other end of the banner. Love how the star hangs on top of the twine, and the little mouse is grabbing on. Hang tight!

So many things you can do with these guys! Hope you get a chance to look at these in the Colorado Craft Company Shop!

Altenew Mighty Kind Stand Alone Dies Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello Friends! Welcome to the blog hop for the Altenew October Die Release! Have you seen the new GIANT ALPHAS?!? Omg, I love them so much!

October Die Release

There are several other neat dies in this release, as you can see above. The other set that caught my eye is the cute envelope die with several little flowers and hearts to put inside the envelope.

You may have come from the blog of Therese Calvird, but if not you're welcome to start at the beginning with the Altenew Card Blog.

Such a happy die, that
Lovely Envelope Die! You can either have the envelope burst out with the included flowers/leaves, or something else of your choosing.

Doesn't it seem like cards you receive/send already have a ton of flowers bursting out of the envelope? Well now they can literally be bursting with flowers : )

The new Mighty Alphabet Die Set does such a great job filling an A2-Sized portrait card. I just picked one of the words in the sentiment strip, spelled it out with the alphas, and then removed it from the original sentiment strip.

These alphas will get a ton of use from me in the future! I already know : )

Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Magic Collection Release Blog Hop

Hello Folks! Ho, ho, ho, we are talking all things "Holiday" with the Holiday Magic Collection Release from Pinkfresh Studio today! I'm really excited to go through all the bits and bobs included in the different sets in the collection and start building some December Daily pages for this year's holiday season. However, before getting to that, I'd like to share some cards I made with the ephemera!

From the Holiday Magic Ephemera and Holiday Magic Title Ephemera sets I put together this festive card.

The coordinating Holiday Magic Enamel Dots are sure nice to have to add bits of color around your card!

Popping up elements when you can, like this sentiment banner and stocking circle, help make the cards more custom-looking.

I'm back on my mini-slim kick! This uses a matted panel from the

Holiday Magic 6x6 Paper Pack.

I cut the North Pole Express ticket from one of the cute papers in the
Holiday Magic 12x12 Paper Pack

Not only does this make a cute focal point for all the bits and pieces, but "North Pole Express" is exactly what we're looking at in the top left corner ... Santa's Sleigh!

A gold thread is tied around the fold of the card. I moved the bow behind the sleigh to draw attention to it.

One more mini slim! This one has a great collection of elements from the collection.

Actually, this card uses exactly the same "formula" as the prior card. Start with the ticket to ground everything. Then add a diecut to the top corner and bottom corner. Finally, add the sentiment in the middle of the ticket.

Having a formula is a great help when you're making multiple cards, like with holiday cards. I find it makes the process more efficient and enjoyable.

GIVEAWAYS:

Colorado Craft New Release Blog Hop - Halloween Big and Bold

Hello Friends! Big and Bold Halloween have now been released!! My favorite line of stamps at Colorado Craft Company, next to the Anita Jeram Stamps, are the Big & Bolds. Super-duper excited to see them released with Halloween themes!

You may have arrived from the ridiculously talented Amy Young, but if not, feel free to start at the beginning with the blog of Adrienne Kennedy CCC.

This is the Big and Bold Witch's Broom set that comes with a giant broom, and several different sentiments. What I like about the sentiments is that you definitely get more than a "Happy Halloween".

I combined two of the sentiments on this tall slimine. The "Halloween Greetings" sentiment font is beautiful, and just like the font on the turn-of-the-century postcards that I collect.

The long secondary sentiment is very unique and looks great next to the giant broom. This would be a good one to stamp inside a card, as well.

I die cut a circle and blended some yellow inside for the giant moon. Then put the circle on top of the moon for a mask and started blending several different colors of the pinkfresh blue inks.

I loosely colored in three different colors of brown on the broom, and ended with some ink spatters.

You know how tall slimline cards are, love how well this giant broom image fills all that space!

Speaking of slimline cards, the stamps in this set are meant for use on a horizontal slimline card, as the title of the set is Lovely Legs Sitting Witch Slimline. But of course you can use it quite well on a traditional A2-sized card too!

The only modification I made was in "HALLOWEEN", where I split the word into two pieces in order to make it fit on a landscape A2 card. I appreciate the open space inside the letters. It's my favorite font, as I like coloring in the open spaces.

I added some bones from the Witch's Broom set to fill that upper left corner space. What makes me happy is how it all seems to fit perfectly with the witch sitting on the words.

Giveaway!

We'll give away one of each of the new stamp sets to randomly chosen winners, 9 in total. They will be picked from the comments left on the blogs in this hop, and on the Instagram posts for this hop. Winners will be randomly selected by 3C and announced on their blog on Thursday October 7th. Good Luck!
