Pinkfresh Studio March 2022 Washi, Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Hello Friends! Welcome to the Pinkfresh March Release Hop!! We've got an amazing release this month packed with those awesomely giant stamp sets that have the corresponding dies, stencils AND washi tape. You know, those sets where one pass of the die gives you enough goodies for multiple cards! Also included are three staples ... nested hexagons, circles and diamonds, WITH corresponding hot foil plates!

This card uses the Nested Hexagon Dies in a slightly different way. After cutting the big and smaller hexagon, I cut them down the middle and put them on each end of the card to make an interactive element.

It doesn't really matter if your recipient opens the flaps, as the card looks pretty as it is ...

... but if they do open it they'll see the beautiful Dahlia Washi Tape die cuts underneath, as well as a stamping of the corresponding Dahlia Stamp Set.

I ended up embossing the Dahlia stamp on the pink hex flap "jacket" as well.

An easy way to spice things up a bit, and this idea can work for any style of card.

I think this set in particular has the most beautifully watercolored washi tape. It looks exactly like how I'd wish to be able to color those flowers and leaves!

Since I still had quite a bit of dahlia's left over, and I try not to add to my scraps pile (it gets so out of hand if I don't watch it!!), I made another quick card with only items in my scraps pile (except the sentiment).

All this texture is one of the reasons I love creating with Pinkfresh products so much. The stitching, the blanket stitching, the dots, the lines, the holes, the scallops, .... it's all just so delicious! By the time you slip the washi tape dies in the frame your card is finished already.

I'd been holding off cutting into my hot foiled Geo Blocks panel for a month now, and decided this was a worthy project. It's so beautiful when the light hits it and the finely debossed lines shine! They really draw you in!

Thanks so much for checking them out today!

Colorado Craft Company - Anita Jeram New Release Hop!

Hello Friends! Welcome to the new Colorado Craft Company Anita Jeram Blog Hop, where we're showcasing several new Anita Jeram stamp and die sets, along with a few new Lovely Legs stamp and die sets.

The Bon Appetit set is a great one that features an oversized Anita Jeram kitty-in-the-kitchen image, complete with some french mice at her feet. I love that there are coordinating dies that come with these stamp sets, as they allow you to make a shaped card! I just make sure to cut with the fold of the card staying inside the die, and then add another die cut of the whole image on top of the card base.

We are always the boss of our own cards, and this time I felt the mice on the bottom were a little much to have on the inside of the card. So I cut them off, and just left the cute mice on the front of the card (with one squeaking out "Oui! Oui!")

What a fun party going on in that kitchen!

The other card I made uses the Hats Off to You stamp and die set. My oldest is graduation high school this year, and aside from feeling weepy once a week, I've been busy trying to get the house ready for his graduation party. We're having our deck redone, kitchen redone, patio stained, exterior trim repainted, basically everything we should have done when we moved in 7 years ago!

In addition to getting ready for the party, I'm going to need a lot of graduation cards for Logan's friends. Their school color is royal blue, so I've stamped the sentiments in that color, as well as colored the gowns that color.

Most of the cards will go to his guy friends, so I used the male graduate as the main image, and stamped the female graduates as part of the crowd below the jumping grad. The CONGRATS sentiment comes as individual letters so I was able to arch the main sentiment. The secondary sentiment is nice to pair with the tiny cap stamps

There will be a few cards I'll need to have ready for girl friends (he'd clarify, friends who happen to be girls, not girlfriends), so I kept the same design, only stamped one of the females in the middle.

I think this is a very useful set with many different possibilities! I can honestly say I don't have anything remotely like it, and I will get a lot of use from it. Next to birthday, I've recently needed to have grad cards on hand the most.

Prizes!
For each stop on the hop we are giving away 1 random 4x6" set from this release! Comment until March 31st, and then Colorado Craft Company will pick and email the winners.

Your next stop is Mansi Bhatia who has something fun to share with you!

Thanks as always for stopping by!

Pinkfresh Challenge - Gorgeous Color Combination and Frames

Hello Friends! I'd love to share a card I made for the March Pinkfresh Challenge!

Here's the challenge graphic. Gorgeous colors, and a theme of frames.

The frame for this card isn't a square, rectangle, circle, or oval, but a die cut inside the Spark of Goodness Floral Frame. Because this die has so many pieces that jut out, I like to pop it up by die cutting several layers underneath. And instead of layering with cardstock, I use my husband's comic book backing boards. They're the perfect thickness that's thicker than cardstock, but still thin enough to be cut with a die.

The gorgeous flower inside is from the Brighter Days Stamp. I kept the frame subtle with the gray and mint, and then saved all the color for the flower inside. Including the mint!

Hope you get a chance to play along!
