Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Winnie & Walter

Hi Folks! As much as I love the freedom of summer, I also adore and am comforted by the traditions of the holidays. One of the traditions that signals the start of the holiday season for me in the card-making world is my friend Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags series in the month of November. Such a fun event that so many companies and designers take a part of.

The tag I made is really just a few die cut images layered together. Who says you need a tag die to make a tag? If you don't want to cut a tag shape yourself, just choose any of your larger dies and use that for your tags!

You can use any supplies on hand, but for this particular tag I've used the w&w In Bloom: Elsa's Flora set for the pine bough and the holly, Essentials: Noelle for the "to" and Essentials: Katherine for the two long flags. The bow is actually a specialty knitting yarn, but it doubles beautifully as a textured ribbon. Bonus that it's super inexpensive since it's sold in a skein and not by the yard.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back in a few days with some additional tags for Tracey's celebration from another awesome sponsor : ) If you haven't already, check out the other adorable Winnie & Walter tags from Tracey's post today!

  2. Hi Kelly:
FABULOUS idea using a candy tube and hanging your sweet tag from it. This inspires me, and gives me the FAB idea for gift-giving. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Such a pretty tag for your candy tube! You've illustrated wonderfully how some of our dies make the perfect tags/tag bases all on their own! I used the Peace and star cutaways to create one of my tags and I love the 'non-traditional' look! Fabulous to have you sharing your talents with us for Tracey's event!

  8. So pretty and I love that you used the shape as a tag base...I got a new stamp set recently that I was thinking would be perfect for that.
