CFS: Clover

Hi folks!! It's time for another CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release, with 3 stamp sets and 1 die being revealed over the next two days. The first set is Clover and it is St. Patrick's Day themed, but still open enough for other uses like this best friends card.

The single Shamrock/clover image works well if you want to add some stitching detail. I did a simple satin stitch all the way around, and then down the stem. The gold thread from cousin Helen totally rocks!

So loving the white embossed vellum look. This vellum panel is stamped with a frame of shamrocks made from a border stamp. Since it's impossible to see the stamped Versamark to line up each side of the frame, I stamped it out in ink on a scratch piece of paper first, and then placed the transparent vellum on top. I then could get perfect placement with the Versamark before I put the embossing powder on.

I sewed a little pocket out of the sentiment panel and filled it with a chartreuse paper so the white sentiment popped a little more for reading. I also cut out the large Shamrock and tucked it in the pocket.

Like it? No need to wait, Michele is releasing this set right NOW since St. Paddy's day is coming up quickly!

More inspiration waits for you with the rest of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Design Team:

 Dana

We'll all be back tomorrow with a new stamp and die set! Thanks for looking!

  12. Fabulous. I also am loving that white on vellum. Those are great tips about putting it over scratch paper and also putting the Chartreuse paper behind. This looks like a really fun set.
