Blue Glitter Keyboard ... someone needs to make one of these!

If there was a keyboard that had blue glitter keys I would totally BUY IT! Haven't found one to-date, but can certainly make them on a card : )

Tech Talk

After fussy cutting the blue glitter keys I lightly scored the edges so I could angle them back like they looked on the old chunky & clunky keyboards. I may or may not have actually pressed them after they were on the card ....  they didn't do anything : )

The black keys on top are also fussy cut so that the letters/characters would be white, but in hindsight I should have had them flat on the card. That way the blue glitter keys would be more of the main focus.

Again, I'm so in love with having patterned paper on the inside of the card. It's 50% of your real estate after all, so might as well make it pretty! Each time I pick a pattern to use, I'll cut the rest of the sheet in the same 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size so I have them on hand. These blue dots were on hand so it only took me seconds to add. I've been using white speech bubbles (also cut out ahead of time) to write the sentiments on, and usually one strip of paper from my scrap bin for contrast.

This card is over at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today.

Stay tuned to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog next week ... we've got three amazing stamp sets to reveal!

Thanks for looking!

I also wanted to mention, as you may have heard, that sadly the Fusion Card Challenge has closed. Thank you all for participating, or for visiting and supporting those who participated. I really looked forward to seeing where people took the photo and/or sketch inspiration. Personally, it was a real challenge to use the sketch, so I'm glad I was stretched in that area : ) It was certainly a fun experience.

  4. Kelly, this is SO fun! Imagine if you could get them in ANY glittery color to match your décor or your personal fave color! (You should patent this and get on it!) I love how you do the inside of the card, too; I'm very bad about remembering to do the inside pretty and to decorate my envies. I'll miss your fun Fusion results and appreciate all the time and effort you spent bringing them to us!! Hugs, Darnell

  7. A very fun card. And, I am impressed with your plans to use your patterned paper on your cards. My personal favorite way to use patterned paper is to put it in a basket and then stare at it.
