CFC #93: Color Blocking

This week's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to explore color blocks using ink, cardstock, or anything else you can dream up. And to sweeten the pot, there is a $25 gift certificate from cutcardstock.com for the winning card.

Rather than use right-angled blocks of color, I used shaped blocks of color, and incorporated an ombre pattern. I added a small flower punch to all the flat die pieces. The sentiment is embossed in white to tie in with the frame of the die, and is from Only You by CAS-ual Friaday's Stamps.

The other pieces are 3D flowers, made by a few cuts in the die (for more specific instructions, see the cut lines at the bottom of this post.) Looking from this side, you can see a hint of the color underneath the card.

Thanks for looking!
-Kelly

Some may recognize these shapes and colors on this card. The leftovers were used to make a monogram.

Thanks Lyndal, Taheerah, and Tasnim for mentioning the Moxie Fab Ombre Challenge! I'll link up there as well.
