Big Bloom Beauty

I was still thinking of the fine white lines of Julie Ebersole's delicate card, when my eyes fell upon some amazing wrapping paper ... with fine white lines ... that I picked up at half price after Chirstmas. So, here's a super-quick card for the CASE Study challenge.

It's a BBB (Bassen-Big-Bloom) card. The magnolia was purchased from the Silhouette store, designed by A Little Hut. If you own a Silhouette, you need to go to this site right away. She is giving away one free cut file every day from now through Easter. It's been about a month already, and I've got quite a nice collection of files.

This magnolia was not one of the free files. But it was left over on my desk from 10 table centerpieces I made a couple weeks ago. So it took me all of a minute to add the Prima flower, brad, and stick it in the middle of the card. I stamped the sentiment on the petals since I didn't want to disrupt that amazing metallic woodgrain.

Seriously, right?!? LOVE this paper. It came in about 5 different colors, and I showed much restraint by only putting 2 in my cart. Metallic woodgrain. Who knew. And for $2 I have a card-maker's lifetime supply.

Thanks for looking!
-Kelly

PS. I was planning on letting you know what my wooden beauties were if no one guessed from the last post. However, after doing some research, I'm not sure the seller was correct in identifying them. They were labeled as old hat molds, but none of the examples I see online match these. There were large circular pieces in the bin I was digging through, like the brim pieces I've seen online, but not these "pedestal" shapes. So I'll need to do a little more research. A mystery, how fun!
