70th Birthday Card - Where Has the Time Gone? [PDCC #131, cQc #136]

Male 70th Birthday Card for a Man

We're going to a 70th birthday party tonight ... at a bar!! Love it. I'm not a drinker, but I think it speaks to how "not-70" my mom's cousin is. Thought I'd loop in a few challenges as long as I was making a card. The colors in both The Play Date Cafe, and colourQ were quite a challenge for me, but I guess that's the whole point of a challenge, right?!

I linked the die cut "70"s to make them a little less obvious. And the clocks are all pointing to 7:00 (not sure that would be noticed, but figured I might as well as long as I had to pick a time.)

  1. Oh my! I love the interlocking numbers! Brilliant!

  2. What a fabulous design Kelly, I love it!

  3. I love the way you locked the numbers in your design. It's very clever. Blessings!

  4. Wow, Kelly, you are a CAS genius! The interlocking letters is a fantastic idea, as is the subtle background clocks. And they all look fabulous in those colors!

  5. This is a fabulous card. I love how you incorporate the colors into the numbers, and overlapped those 70's. And, the clock background--genius. Hope it was a fun party.

  6. So CLEVER! I love your linked numbers. I didn't like these colours on the palette, but you've done a great job with them, even without adding a ton of white!

  7. What a great design, Kelly! LOVE those big clock faces! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!

  8. What a clever design! LOVE the clock faces--and the different 70s! Thanks so much for joining in the fun and playing along with us over at the PDCC:)
