Hi Folks! A warm welcome to the Winnie & Walter World Card Making Day blog hop! For a festive occasion such as this, I wanted to feature festive cards, and knew the new Big Round Balloon Cutaways would be perfect.
Let's take a look ...
The balloon is colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and watered down with a water brush. Inside is a birthday quote from another new set that has quickly gone to the top of my most-loved list, Wish Big with Evelin T Designs. It's got everything you could possibly need to celebrate a birthday, including the cutest little secondary sentiments like "en-joy" that fits perfectly on the tiny tag from my favorite die set, Essentials: Audrey Cutaways.
This balloon features two of the Wish Big sentiments, with "celebrate" being curved along the balloon shape. Also a different tiny sentiment for the tiny tag.
Finally, here's a third card following this same recipe. Olive, pink and purple isn't a color combination I use often, but I'm liking it. For this sentiment I colored in the banner with colored pencils and a white gel pen to make it stand out a little. This sentiment will be the all-time sentiment for my husband, as he makes everyone celebrate his birthday for an entire weekend every year!
The sequins on the balloon add to the festivities,
as do the party squiggles hanging on the end of the balloon (from The Party Confetti Cutaways.)
I loved making this set of cards. Simple, but still fun.
