Hi Folks! This month we're featuring The Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs at Winnie & Walter, This card uses the scripted "home" from this set, with a bunch of other stamps from Our Town. You'd never know that this sentiment was created with two different sets, right? They go together so well! I blended some ink (same color as the sentiment) using a sticky note for a mask to make the ground, and then did some generational stamping for the trees. The cute scalloped panel is one of my favorites, from Essentials: Audrey.
Since it's a Christmas card I wanted to make a more mail-friendly version of the card, so I eliminated the panel and sequins for a true one-layer card. I think it's strong enough to stand on its own just fine, but I still like the "fancier" version better!
The Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs set will be on sale all month, and you have the
opportunity to win a $25 gift certificate to the store by playing along
with us (further details here).
Thanks so much for looking!

They're both pretty awesome cards, Kelly. I do like the "fancier" one a tad bit more, though, too. I love the red house; it's just a wonderful focal point! And those subtle stars...!! Great Christmas card. Just love it! Bev
ReplyDeleteThese are both so sweet, Kelly! And you know because of my CAS style, I'd go with the not so fancy one. Though, that's just me. Ha. lol :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week! Hugs
Fancy is good, flatter is better - for the post anyway! Darling, and sweetet little red house!

Honestly, Kelly, your beautiful Christmas scene is so eye-catching that it works just fine as an OLC ~ but a little bling and scalloping is awesome, too!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI'd compromise and do the layer with no sequins. But then I've always been a rebel. ;) They are darling little scenes, Kelly, either way.
ReplyDeletePretty card...just so sweet. Love your beautiful winter scene.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet card Kelly!
