Winnie and Walter You've Got Love Mail

Kind of obsessed with these tiny envies, as you'll see from the next three cards! There are a lot of fun images in the You've Got Love Mail set from winnie & walter, but these two envelopes are like tiny workhorses. Could. Not. Put. Them. Down. So many different ways you can have fun with them. Here's a 95% one-layer card. Stamp the envelopes down the front of the card and color the rectangles with marker. That's just about it!

To dress it up a bit more, I stamped the ribbon around the envelope at the bottom and embossed it three times to get a nice, thick coat. The yellow ribbon (and camo-colored envelopes) are meant to be for a military card, for Operation Write Home.

Then I used an exacto knife to cut along the edge of the envelope and slipped a note in there. The lines in the tiny note are from a larger set of lines on the inside of a heart (see Nichol Magouirk's card that used this heart stamp). The heart is large so the lines are far apart. No worries, I just stamped it 2 more times, moving down 1/3 of the space each time, to get the lines to the scale I needed. What a cute sentiment too, just the perfect size for these envelopes!

The card is lined with American Crafts Darling Dear patterned paper.

For this card, I stamped the same envelopes and colored them with the same markers, only this time I cut them out. Love how they pop on the patterned paper background. Because they are rectangles, they could not be easier to fussy cut. Seriously. It's also easier to center them on the card this way since you can move them around.

I LOVE being able to score across the envelope fold and have the envelop flap angle outwards. Such a cute detail! Another envelope is stamped in white so I could cut the bottom part out and layer it on top of the full yellow envelope image. It's just glued on the sides, so the heart can really slide in and out of the envelope. Again, the sentiments in this set are really just the perfect size.

Patterned paper is AC Amy Tangerine Yes, Please.

One more card with this idea. So much fun to stamp on patterned paper. The paper does all the work for you! And again, cutting them out is a breeze. Think of all the different looks you could get using only the scraps in your pile. Or just snip corners off all the sheets in your 6x6 pads.

The negative space from where the last envelope "should" go is filled with the secondary sentiment. And again, the flap is scored and angled out from the card.

Patterned papers are American Crafts 5th & Frolic and Lucky Charm.

I had to make one more card that doesn't use any envelopes on it (although now that I am typing this, I'm thinking an envelope could look really cute tucked in the banners, hmmm ...)

What an adorable snail! And did you notice the middle of his shell has a teeny-tiny heart shape? Winnie & Walter have put so many cute little details like this in their stamps. I outlined it with a white gel pen just in case the recipient doesn't pick up on it. The lime banner is stamped with another cute little stamp from this set, a row of outlined hearts (there is also a matching row of solid hearts that I did not use here). This card could be for any occasion. Patterned paper is AC 5th & Frolic.

  15. These are all fabulous. I have a tiny envelope stamp from WPlus9 that I am now realizing is terribly underused. And, I even have a tiny envelope die. Thank you so much for this inspiration, and you are really showing off these new stamps beautifully. I'm sure there will be a virtual stampede to their store once everyone sees your samples.
