Hi Friends! Oh goodness, there is just a little bit of everything in the new Quiet Reflections Release at Altenew this month. I have some awesome stamp and stencil sets to share, as well as some fun craft room decals, and some never-before-seen pictures of my workspace!
You may have come from the blog of Amber Rain Davis, but if not feel free to start at the beginning with the Altenew Card Blog.
Let's start with the fun and beautiful koi fish from the Goldfish Stamp and Die Set. There's a second layering stamp that comes with each outline stamp for you to easily color the spots on the koi. For this fish I stamped and cut out the body, then layered him on a gold-embossed vellum koi so his fins are transparent. SO pretty in real life with all the swirly details!

There are also some solid seaweed stamps I used to enhance the background. But I think the fish is pretty on its own too.
There are many sentiment stamps that come in this set, including this one, "You make the world more beautiful."
I love that there are three different goldfish stamps to choose from, or to use all three. The other two goldfish stamps are illustrated from an aerial view so its easy to make an entire pond full of fish. There are aerial versions of the seaweed and plants to round out your cute pond.

Including a sentiment from Finding Nemo just puts this set over the top! I'd love to make a full-on aquarium card next. My son just got one of those new neon lighted aquariums and is picking out some new fish for Christmas. This set will be perfect for his card!

I have a lot of males I need to make cards for, and this new Dots and Boxes background stamp is great for filling the background in a non-feminine way.

The sentiment is embossed in bronze for a change, with some bronze glitter paper making the Fine Frames Diamond die looked like it's dipped in bronze. Vellum leaves behind soften up the edges a little.
One of my favorite floral cards ever is this slim line card with the new Tranquility Rose stamp, die and stencil coloring set.

What makes it so fun and easy for me to color is the Tranquility Rose coloring stencils. Honestly, if there were ever a set of coloring stencils for your to get, THESE ARE IT! Maybe you haven't tried coloring stencils before, or think they're just a nice-to-have addition. These are MUST-HAVES! All the complex coloring and shading of the main flower, smaller flowers, leaves, etc. are all done with this set of four stencils for each layering color.
It really makes the set come to life!

I didn't want to cover up too much of the florals with a sentiment, so I embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum and then curved it outwards around the bouquet of florals.
Did you notice I punched a small hole in the vellum, and added a small flower thru the hole? It serves to hold the vellum in place, and to make it a little more interesting.

I've had this card on my desk since I made it and just love looking at it! The highly detailed coloring stencils are really a must, and make you look like you're a coloring wizard.
Finally, I don't think I've shared pictures of my workspace before ...
I really had a fun time deciding how to use the new Craft Room Decals! Covid lockdowns have given me time to really get my craft space into shape, and now that I have a good home for everything, it must be labled, of course! I added scripty "envelopes," "paper," and "ink" labels to the sides of my top shelves.
The decals are a great size for the shelves, and for any letters that extend over the edge of the shelf, you can just bend them over the edge and they stay beautifully.

I also got some awesome new pantry organizers from TJ Maxx/Home Goods that are the perfect size for the large sized stamp sets, like the build-a-flowers. So excited to get these out of the tattered shoe boxes!! The decals look great on the front, labeling this as "stamps."

The decal set also comes with flowers, how perfect to add this to my bin of build-a-flower stamps?!

These decals are removable and easily repositionable, so if you change your mind and decide that the flowers are better suited for other things, no worries! Just peel it off and stick it back on the sheet it came from.
I changed my mind several times and had no issues putting them on a new surface. For example, I had several flowers and leaves on the glass pane of my office doors. I thought they got a little lost up there, and since the light was so bright coming thru it lightened their pink color.

So I removed them and put them around my door handle hardware instead. I'm happy to report they are just as clingy the second time around! Such good news for indecisive and non-committal decorators like me.

These florals are like a happy welcome for me every time I go in my craft room. I like how they look with my purple desk chair too (another favorite find from Home Goods).
You've made it! Thanks for checking out my cards (goldfish, masculine dots, and tranquility rose coloring stencil) and craft room decor!
