Altenew Peony Bouquet - A New Color Combination for Me!

Did you see the big celebration going on in Instagram? Altenew reached 50K followers, and is giving away FORTY TWO GIFT CARDS!!! There is such an incredible array of talent on the hop as well. So very inspiring! If you haven't seen it yet, do go check it out. There's also a direct link to my Instagram feed on my right sidebar.

This is my current favorite Altenew flower set, Peony Bouquet. It’s an older set, but a true classic. I’ve used it several times before, and was a little stuck for a new color scheme when I started this card. Once I flipped over the die packaging I found my inspiration and used similar colors for the flowers, leaves and berries. Just love everything about Altenew, even their packaging!

I believe this is also the first time I've ventured beyond using a shade of green for leaves! It was a little scary, hahaha, but I'm happy I tried something new.

I’ve been trying to use up all my extras when I clean up my desk, and this is an easy way to do that. Just fold some cardstock, extend the coordinating die slightly past the edge of the fold, adhere your extra die on top, and you have the cutest little tag for a present!

Quick, easy cards like this always seem to come in handy!

Thanks so much for looking! Check out the IG hop if you haven't already ... I've never heard of so many gift cards being given away!!

  2. Kelly, I LOVE the little flower card!! It totally inspired a blog post and video I just created so I've linked to your post in my blog and video description. It won't go live until 6/11.
