Hi Folks! We're kicking off a huge release for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps today ... it's the first of SIX days of fun new stamps and dies. Lots of wonderful fall images, and yes, plenty of Christmas and Hanukkah too! Let's start off with Fall and this amazing wheat wreath.
Oh was this fun to make. After embossing the wreath in white I made several brush strokes with different watercolors around the wreath. It was so much fun, in fact, that I was set to make another one. This time I took pictures along the way:
Seriously, so much fun!
The paper I started with was a little larger so I made a desktop version of the card.
To make a wooden frame, I overlapped strips of paper at each corner, and then cut at a 45 degree angle to get a mitered edge.
Then you know it will fit together perfectly.
A double gold thread bow tops it off.
Since I'm putting this on our sofa table that's visible from both sides, I covered the chipboard on the back with patterned paper. The top of the easel is covered with a camera scrap that I had lying out, and the KG is a custom stamp that I use on the back of all my cards.
Thanks for looking, and come back over the rest of the week to see what else is new!! You're not going to want to miss checking out the other Ink Squad girls:
We're SO EXCITED to have Deepti, Marcie and Zoey join our team, they rock!!

LOVE.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you have some serious skills. Both these projects are awesome.
ReplyDeleteCool project - where did you get that custom stamp?
ReplyDeleteHi Cornelia! Unfortunately, it's an OLD wood-mount stamp that I bought in an independent scrapbook store 10-15 years ago. I love the idea, though, to have your initials combined for a little logo of sorts. Hope you've been doing well!
DeleteHugs,
Kelly
