Hi folks, it's time for another fusion challenge! As a reminder, you're free to be inspired by the photo, the sketch, or a fusion of both. It's always fun to see what everyone comes up with, and how different the cards are. Don't forget to vote for your favorites, too!
I went with the photo for inspiration this time. Still loving the chalkboard effect, but I tend to prefer the "cleaner" look and not as much chalk dust : ) So I just emboss with white.
I wanted to do something a little different, so I split the Papertrey Stylish Sentiments into three parts. Patterned paper is mounted between the sentiments, and a Memory Box branch below. I was pleased with how this turned out, and it really couldn't have been easier! If I wasn't fiddling around with things, it would be a 5 minute card.
Thanks so much for looking!
-Kelly
Love the way you've divided the sentiment with the fun PP! Cute card Kelly ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I really like this! Love how you broke the sentiment up and great choice in papers, so chic!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Kelly! I love that you split that sentiment up with some cute paper in between. Gotta CASE this one:)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of pattern paper in between the chalkboard look :) I know quick cards are so much fun :)
ReplyDeleteGreat design Kelly, love the patterned paper strips.
ReplyDeleteLove how clean your embossing is (I'm sure the chalkboard effect was invented by someone who didn't have an embossing buddy! lol!) I would never have put those two DPs together with a pale blue branch, but somehow you always seem to make things work!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous! I need to emboss more, i go into lazy streaks.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pp strips and branch Kelly - FABULOUS!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to emboss with white. Gives the same effect as chalk. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI love how you mix the paper into this chalkboard design! Gorgeous! Hope you are enjoying summer! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the white embossed lettering, paired with the fun patterns.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic. I like the cleaner chalkboard look, and the papers in the midst of the sentiment are a great idea.
ReplyDeleteAnother great card! You are so talented, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd so sweet, too! Thanks so much for the comments you left on my blog tonight and the one you left on Paulina's blog-- they totally made my day!
So cute, Kelly...so clever to split up the sentiment and fill in with the fresh patterns like that!!!
