Here's a riddle that I made for a teen boy's birthday card. Although, as my husband commented to me, this is more of a verbal joke than a print joke. But that's OK. Who knows the answer? I'll post the inside of the card when someone gets it right. It was Mom's favorite go-to joke when I was little : )
Totally inspired by Ardyth's graphic typography card from the CASology challenge to use RED.
Also inspired by the CAS-ual Friday's challenge to use Black & White plus a color (totally a literal interpretation on this one!!!)
Thanks for looking!

ETA: Jenny's the smart one! I went with the classic answer, although there are quite a few versions that came out afterwards, like "a sunburned zebra." Here's an updated list I found on the internet.

Congrats on becoming a Girl Friday Kelly..... such a well deserved honour :0) Love the bold graffic typography and I can think of many answers but the clue is in what your hubby said so I think the answer is a newspaper!!!
ReplyDeleteJenny x
Wow--this is so cute. Very creative. Of course I remember that joke, and we used to say either a newspaper or a skunk with diaper rash. I know--we used to crack ourselves up with that one.
ReplyDeleteI don't know....that's quite a groaner for a teenage boy. lol But the idea and card are great.
ReplyDeleteWell then I was thinking afterwards that they might not know about newspapers. We don't get any in our house, everything's online!
