A Study in: Boxes (Tiles)

Here are a few cards all using the same 3D box theme for the fun sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.

First up is a mock tile card made with glossy accents. To get the impressions on the "tiles," I selectively dry embossed one of the designs on the PTI Quatrefoil Cover Plate.

Nice thing is, they have some dimension, but can also fold FLAT for mailing or storage. Just push 'em to the side!

This is the first one I did. Not bad, but I like the glossy accents on the boxes better.

Finally, here's a tiny valentine with washi tape that I'm entering in the Moxie Fab itty bitty card challenge. Same theme with the boxes,

but these have been stacked on top of each other in a stair step pattern.  In the foreground you can see one of the boxes I used. Make them long like this, then they'll be super-easy to cut multiples.

And here you can see how it is able to fold flat, just like the others.

I've got one more of these for another challenge that I'll post soon. (ETA: here it is)

Thanks so much for looking!

  6. Wow what an awesome Ideas to make these boxes. I was wondering how to mail this wonderful card ( normally I start watching the pictures and scroll back to the top of the apge and read the text to the post) but then I saw the fantastic effect. The woodgrain-look is fantastic aswell.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day

  7. Wow! At first look, I thought they were tiles, but then that wouldn't be practical so I thought they were just popped up on dimensionals. But little boxes? Get outta here! Most inventive idea yet!
