Hi folks! Exciting news today, I'm the Featured Artist on Paper Crafter's Library! I could make absolutely anything I wanted. Umm, that's a little paralyzing!! Fortunately they contacted me back in October so I had plenty of time to think about it. Being so in love with the dimensional barn stars, I thought I'd explore what else could be done with that same folding technique. Wouldn't you know, it works with a lot of different shapes besides stars!
I'd love for you to stop by and check it out. There are 6 projects in my post. My favorite is the inverted star (shown on the card on top of the present). The edges incline upward like the "normal" barn star, but the middle folds inward. I can't believe that actually worked!
Thanks so much for looking!
-Kelly
Oh, wow! These are awesome and so professional looking (not surprising, since you are the queen of professional!) I love that 'double' barn star - heading over to check it out!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on another great opportunity to display your talent and inspiration! I love playing around with dimensional designs. I would never have thought of doing the inverted folds with a smaller star in the center. Love it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous picture, and so many cool ideas. I swear you are a paper crafting genius. Now I am off to check out your post.
ReplyDeleteWow!! All of them are so Fabulous Kelly! So Amazing on how you did each one :)
ReplyDeleteYour grasp of 2D to 3D continues to blow me away. If I had figured out the inverted star, in the middle of the barn star, I'd still be jumping up and down for joy! I'm guessing your stint as guest designer will bring a landslide of lookers to your blog. I may just need to break down now and get a die set of stars.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that is a fabulous header photo. It really shows off the diversity of items you made with the technique.
I would love to comment on your brilliance with each post, but I need a life, and I move a bit more slowly than the average person. I'm so happy that you've chosen to share in a blog, and I hope it brings the joy to you, that it does to your readers. My life would be less fun and creative without you in it. A big thanks for all you do.
Just gorgeous all your folded stars! I enjoyed reading about you at the Paper Crafters blog! I need to bookmark this post for future projects.......
