CFS Release - Mermaids

Hi Folks! Yesterday we got to meet all the pretty ballerinas in the current CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release, now today we get to see the adorable mermaids! This cutie is floating along in the ocean admiring the glittery pink shell she collected from the shore.

For the ocean, I dropped some water on the blended ink, and also stamped some bubbles that come with the set. To continue with the under water theme, the sentiments are actually made up of tiny bubbles!

There are several other stamps included with this set that I didn't use on the front of the card, so I thought they would work well on the INSIDE of the card, like the coral and starfish! The sentiment is another bubbly creation, and to finish the thought, I hand wrote "and" above it. Not everything needs to be stamped, right? This occurred to me after I spent 15 minutes looking for a set that has the right sized word "and" in it. So silly of me!

Check out the rest of the Ink Squad to see more awesome projects with these stamps. All the stamps you see this week will be released on Friday, August 4th. And don't forget, the code KELLY2017 works on everything, including retiring items, sale items, and even these new release items.

CFS Release - Tutu

Hi Folks! If you have any little girls in your life, you are going to love this new stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! It's a set of ballerinas ... with flower tutus!! Ack. Adorbs!

This is one of the quickest cards to make, as you're only stamping this ballerina a couple times in different colors, and then the twirly sentiment below it. I added a few sequins to the tutu to pretty it up a little more. And that's it!

I love them all lined up like this and overlapping.

I used that same idea to create a whole troop of ballerinas in blues and greens (lighter images with second generation stamping) and then added the star of the show ... Ms. Pink Ballerina in the middle of her big ballet pose!

The sentiment is from an existing set called Whole Shebang and fits quite nicely with these pretty ballerinas.

CFS Release - Flower-Case

Hi folks! It's time for another CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release! You may remember the Flower Power set from the prior release that had a few words made of large letters filled with flowers. That set was pretty darn cool. Well now you can make your own words with those letters, as CAS-ual Fridays is releasing an entire alphabet with that style of letter!

As soon as I got them I knew they would be perfect for my twin cousins who are turning 5 this year, and I couldn't wait to spell their name in flowers.

I used sentiments from Whole Shebang above and below each girl's name, and then stamped the Curtis Background along the bottom. The first version of this card had everything on a straight line across the card, but I though it looked a little ho-hum. So I stamped it all on an angle and I think that gives it just the pop it needs.

If you need a lot of birthday cards, you could knock several of these personalized cards out in one sitting. There's really not a lot to them ... aside from putting the letters together, there are just three additional stamps to complete the card. No coloring, blending, piecing, die cutting, etc.

Check out the rest of the Ink Squad to see more awesome projects with these stamps. All the stamps you see this week will be released on Friday, August 4th. And don't forget, the code KELLY2017 works on everything, including retiring items, sale items, and even these new release items.

Studio Katia - 5 Ways to Use Kobi the Birthday Bear

Hi folks! I am super excited to be on the Studio Katia blog today, showcasing the most adorable Kobi the Birthday Bear stamp and die set (along with a few other stamps, dies and sequins). I really enjoyed meeting Katia at her booth at Creativation this year, and was quick to let her know how excited I was that her products were getting so much positive attention.

Aside from her fun collection of products, she's very kind, laid back, and just a joy to work with. I would love it if you'd stop by her blog and show some love and support.

Thanks so much,
-Kelly

w&w Rerun - Kindness with Evelin T Designs

Hi Folks! We have a new Rerun Challenge on the Winnie & Walter blog today, which means that we pick a stamp set from the archives and focus on using it throughout the month. This card uses the Kindness with Evelin T Designs set for everything, except for the faceted background pattern for the desert ground which is from Mini Scenery: Multifaceted

 Winnie & Walter, LLC

The Kindness sentiment is originally a straight line, but for this card I thought a curved sentiment would fill the space better, so I curved it on my stamping block. The cacti were masked before I stamped the yellow facets and sponged the yellow ink ... you can see the masks on the left of this photo. Then I watercolored them in green with tiny pink copic flowers. The scallop frame is left over from when I needed a panel of my favorite Essentials: Audrey Cutaways.

Head on over to the Winnie & Walter blog to find out details on how to win this set, and on how to participate in the challenge which is open throughout the month.
