Yay! Here's a second peek at the March CAS-ual Fridays Stamps
release! This set really "blew me away" : ) If you haven't already, be sure to stop over at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps
and comment on today's post for another chance at winning a $20 gift certificate. How easy is that?!
It's a bomb! Hahaha, how fun is that?! Just think of all the explosive things you can do with this one! Stamping one of the bombs from Ka-Boom in the center of a circle-graph mask makes a super-quick explosion (with Hero Arts Neon Inks). The ball of the bomb is "kissed" with some texture ... you could use whatever texture you like here. I really love the "tick tick" stamp that comes with this set. Although it's a word stamp, it reads more of a background stamp than a sentiment to me. So that's how I used it here. You could even stamp the ticks in the explosion area to make it more dynamic.
Here's another card that doesn't really have anything to do with bombs ... it's a stereo receiver display. The Ka-Boom set also has these rectangle/dot/arrow outlines. and corresponding rectangle/dot/arrow solids. OH the possibilities!! I can see using these on just about everything. For this card, I drew some pencil lines, and used that as my guide to stamp several rectangles in the manner of a stereo receiver display. Liberties here, because I certainly don't know if this is what the display would look like if one were to really burst from excitement, but in my head it is certainly what it looks like! Hopefully it is close enough to get the message across. This could be for anything you're excited about ... new job, graduation, retirement, finally getting a house after you've been looking for 8 years, etc.
Sure hope you come back tomorrow for the last sneak peak of the release : )
Thanks for looking!
-Kelly
