Pinkfresh Studio June 2020 Pop Out Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Hello Friends! I am so thrilled to take part in the June Pinkfresh Blog Hop celebrating the release of their new set of Pop Out stamps and dies! These are so darn cool ... the pieces of the cling stamp actually POP OUT, as you may guess from the name and/or picture, which allows you to be super flexible with your designs.

You may have come from the blog of Kay Miller, but if not feel free to start at the beginning with the Pinkfresh Blog!

With everyone being at home since mid March, I haven't had a lot of time to craft, so this was one of my first times back in my craft room. It felt amazing! And I sure had fun playing with these new products. Let's take a look ...

When I finished stamping the Pop Out Sunburst I literally said to myself "HELLO" ... so that's the inspiration for the sentiment right there! I wasn't sure how these pop outs would work at first, but you really just pop them out from the frame and stamp the ones you want. I had the whole set on my Misti, removed half the sections, inked the remaining sections with yellow, and stamped. Then I put those sections back on the Misti, took out the sections I had just stamped, inked those with orange, and stamped again.

Just a few minutes and I was done with this card! The pop outs make it so easy to do something that would have taken a lot of thought and fiddling with a "normal" stamp.

This card uses the Pop Out Sunburst Die in a gold glitter paper to layer over a similar die from a release last year, the Radiating Background Die. These two dies are a match made in heaven! They compliment each other so well, with the scored sun rays on the bottom.

With the Intricate Mandala die medallion in the center, it reminds me of a stained glass window, so I thought this would make a perfect sympathy card (always hard for me to make) with the addition of a "prayers" sentiment from Phrase Builder.

The "middle's" from the prior card, all the sunbursts, were adhered onto this card base. I wasn't sure what to do with this one until the very end when I was cleaning everything up. I had an extra hexagon die frame on my desk (these are coming up) and loved the look of it layered on top.

It makes a nice focal point on the card, and a perfect spot to put the flowers and sentiment.

Another really neat card from this set is the Pop Out Hexagons Cling Stamp set! You stamp the hexagon grid (in black here) and then go to town picking what you want to stamp inside each hexagon shape. For this card I used the solid hexagon and stamped several cool colors in a striped pattern to make a masculine birthday card. Clean and crisp! This sentiment also comes with the set.

Of course I wanted to see what a feminine birthday card would look like, so I picked some warm colors and stamped several solids in a random pattern. A few of the hexagons are stamped with a floral image, also included in this set.

The possibilities are endless!

Same card, two different looks.

Wanting to see what the other patterns looked like, I started another card with the same masculine colors.

It kind of looked like a quilt with different fabric pieces! Because of this comforting quilt vibe, I turned it into another sympathy card. Love that this is different from a typical sympathy card.

Breaking out of the grid, literally, I tried another card with just stamping random hexagons in different colors and patterns. The possibilities really are limitless here!

This card also came from cleaning up. I had to cut another white hexagon for the prior card (to hide a stamping error, shhh!!) so I just used a small rectangle of cardstock. As I was sweeping away the scraps, I thought this little piece would make a great frame for something on a card.

So I filled it with some leftover floral dies in the top frame, and the bottom frame has one of the flowers that comes in this set, and the coordinating floral die. Fun!

My final card is a soccer ball! In the grass, ha! Couldn't be easier to make, as you just piece in the different black and white hexagons. Love that this is a totally different look from the other cards, showing just how flexible these hexagons can be.

Such a great card for boys!

Hope you enjoyed all the cards using only TWO of the new sets from this release:
- Pop Out Sunburst Stamp and Die; and
- Pop Out Hexagons Stamp and Die.

Happily, there happen to be a few fun promotions going on right now! The first is getting this adorable die cut above for free with a $25 purchase. No need to do anything special, it will automatically load into your cart. Easy!
