Evelin T Designs First Release Blog Hop!

Hi Folks! I couldn't be more excited to share with you a brand new release from a brand new company ... Evelin T Designs! Many of you may be familiar with Evelin's signature whimsical and fun style from the illustrations she designed with Winnie & Walter. They are truly some of my most favorite and most used sets.

Now, Evelin is striking out on her own, illustrating the most adorable stamp sets for Evelin T. Designs. She is starting out with a bang, and releasing six new stamp sets TODAY. You should have come from one of my favorite crafters, Amy Tsuruta! If not, feel free to start at the beginning with Evelin T Designs.

Let's get started, as I've got 5-6 cards to share with you!

Could they be ANY CUTER?! Seriously. There are many Coffee Loving Critters in this set which can be grouped together to form a small coffee loving gang, like this, or used individually with one of the fun sentiments included.

How can you resist that plump kitty balancing a cup on his round belly? Or the bunny walking towards you with a cup of something warm? And if by some miracle you can, there are a few critters in this set who are holding sweets instead of cups. Love them all!

Another new set is Alpha Blocks, which has many duplicate letters so you can build a few entire words on your stamping block (like my friend's name "Natasha" with 3 A's). After lining up the letters to form her name, I stamped it repeatedly in a diagonal, leaving space in between for me to draw a tiny heart. You can color the inside of the letters with a single color like I did here, or do an ombre coloring where one color fades to the next.

While I had Natasha's name already laid out on the stamping block, I stamped it again on the envelope, just because I could.

In addition to critters who love coffee, there is also a set of critters who love to read, like this guy who's a little exhausted from climbing the rainbow pile of books.

But he made it to the top! The books are selectively stamped, and stamped on top of each other, to make several different sizes of piles. This would also be really cute for a graduation card if you colored the covers with the colors of the new graduate's next school.

Evergreen Foliage has several wonderful sentiments, along with a few pieces of greenery. I've used the greens here to frame a series of sentiments, but you can also group them together to be the star of the show.

Evelin really got it right with the mix of scripted sentiments, sans serif type, and the fillable alphas. Love how they all look together.

Finally, there's the most adorable illustration of kitties sneaking around in the forest called Sneaky Kitties.

Once you have the scene colored you can either trim the sides a bit and mount it on a vertical card. Or, you can leave it as-is and mount it on a horizontal card, like this:

It's the perfect size to span your entire landscape card!

I get a smile on my face every time I see them peeking out from behind the grasses! These kinds of images lend themselves to "from all of us" cards when you're sending greetings on behalf of a group of people.

  4. Love all your cards, but my favorite is your kitty card. Love how you colored the foliage and kept the kitties plain. They think they are all camouflaged...but they aren't! Ha. Cats are so funny.

So excited that Evelin has started her own company. This first release is FABULOUS!!!

  21. Kelly, your cards are the best! I love the bear with the towers of books & can certainly relate to the sentiment as I am an avid reader. I don't go anywhere without a book. Yes an actual book, not an "e device". lol I also love the You are Pawsome card. So applicable in my life as we have "the best dog" in the whole world & we dogsit in our home. So, you can understand why I'm so drawn to these particular cards. I wish Evelin all the best in her endeavour!
