Glittered Felt Christmas Tree

Take a little felt, glitter, foil, book paper, tweed fabric and ...

some beige and gray (and sparkly) inspiration from the amazingly festive Tuesday Trigger photo ...

and you have a snowy, winter scene.

The chunky glitter (which I am so loving these days, even though it's just a cheap jar from WalMart) stays on with some spray adhesive, and then I gave it a coat of Clear Acrylic Sealant to keep the flakes from getting all over. The trunk is the back of a scrap piece of tweed fabric.

Finally, the tree is made from the loopy bloom die. It makes the best flowers! But for this card I just wanted it for the nice, even strips. There's a slight swag to the rows to spread the strips a bit, and to line them up along the side of the triangle.

Thanks for looking!
-Kelly

Supplies used:
dies:  (Loopy Border Die) My Favorite Things; (In The Meadow) Memory Box
other:  felt, glitter, tweed, Marvy sunburst punch

  4. You are creating holiday home decorations, Kelly, on these last two posts. The tag should go on a tree and the card should sit on the end table. So elegant and lushilicious! Love your creative mind!

Thank you so much for joining me!! I'm glad you came around and got to see that I thanked you for your help with the BS, and I'm so happy that you liked my review!! It was a pleasure to point people in your direction if they don't already follow you.

Oh, don't feel bad about the die not going all the way through the first time. I was also thinking about it today and I wonder if both machines wouldn't work better if I put them on a lower surface. I have a set-up here where I can easily do that experiment. Perhaps my desk surface is too high for me so I'm not getting a good hold and turn? I'll check that out.

    Thanks again! Mwah! Darnell
